Vervo’s air knives and air curtains operate using the Coandă effect. This technology takes advantage of the tendency of an air stream to attach itself to a curved surface rather than moving freely along the direction of flow. Air knives and air curtains produce an air stream with a force precisely matched to the application’s requirements, and they enhance this effect by drawing in “free” ambient air. This makes air knives and air curtains highly efficient and energy-saving for applications like blow-off, cooling, drying, or cleaning.

A properly installed air knife or air curtain can reduce air consumption by up to 50%.
