Self-aligning bearings
Self-aligning bearings offer the ability to automatically adjust to slight deviations in axial and radial shaft alignment. Their construction is based on two inner and outer rings, with spherical rolling elements held in place by a cage, typically shaped like a basket. This design allows them to compensate for minor misalignments in axial or radial positioning, minimizing wear and extending the bearing's lifespan.
Due to the limited load carrying capacity of axial loads, these bearings are not suitable for applications involving significant axial loads.
All MTM brand self-aligning bearings are available in SU, SUC, SA, FD, SB and K variants
